Is NIRA’s laser technology clinically tested and proven?
+
-
Yes! In order to obtain FDA clearance, rigorous clinical testing was conducted on 76 individuals of all genders in an independent, blinded study by New England Dermatology Associates overseen by three medical experts. The study assessed the NIRA laser's effectiveness and safety as the participants used NIRA for 2 minutes a day over a period of 90 days.
Our technology is unparalleled with no observable adverse effects on darker skin tones, nor any interference with skin melanin levels, making it the only laser device suitable for all skin tones. Furthermore, our laser devices are proven to deliver long-lasting results, as 7 out of 10 users maintained their wrinkle reduction benefits for up to three months after their treatment ended.
What differentiates the NIRA lasers from other at-home skincare devices?

-
NIRA has developed the first and only painless at-home, non-fractional, non-ablative lasers that are FDA-cleared and clinically proven to visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles in just minutes a day. It’s important to note that the NIRA lasers do NOT use LED light - they are actual lasers for home use. NIRA’s patented laser technology is 200x more powerful than LED and 190x more powerful than competing at-home laser light technology.
Unlike competing at-home skincare devices, NIRA’s laser treatments are simple, fast, and effective - and are a fraction of the price of in-office anti-aging treatments. The lasers are designed to be used on clean, dry, healthy skin - no messy gels or primers required! In addition, NIRA is proven safe and effective for all skin types and tones.
NIRA’s non-fractional, non-ablative laser technology works by gently heating the dermis to stimulate natural collagen production - revealing firmer, youthful looking skin in as little as 90 days. With five comfort levels able to adjust to your skin’s sensitivity, both NIRA Pro and NIRA Precision Lasers make it possible to get clinical-grade, long-lasting wrinkle reduction in the comfort of your own home - all without pain, redness, or downtime.
Do the NIRA lasers use LED light?
+
-
No, the NIRA lasers do NOT use LED light - they are actual lasers for home use.
NIRA lasers are 'near-infrared' lasers that deliver targeted heat energy to gently warm the dermis to stimulate natural collagen production - resulting in clinical-grade wrinkle reduction without pain, redness, or downtime. NIRA also has the only non-fractional laser that has real clinical evidence and was professionally evaluated by blinded reviewers in order to obtain FDA clearance.
By comparison, LEDs are low light therapy that require very long treatment times and may not produce the same level of results. There is also no published evidence for any LED light treatment for wrinkle reduction, only patient-reported improvement.
How does NIRA compare to fractional or ablative laser treatments at a dermatologist’s office or med-spa?

Lasers have been used in the dermatology space since 1960 and are proven to have numerous skin benefits, one of the biggest being that they reduce wrinkles. NIRA lasers use the same laser chips found in many professional laser systems and our clinical study results are comparable to those from professional systems. However, our technology is different in several important ways that makes it even better.
NIRA lasers use the same semiconductor laser diodes tuned at 1450 nm targeting the peak absorption in the dermis layers. NIRA uses a lower power per unit area and spreads the energy over daily treatments over the course of a month, whereas the dermatologist typically treats with all the energy in one visit per month. Over time, NIRA’s at-home laser devices put in more energy than most professional treatments do in a single visit - generating equal or more skin renewal over time. For example, a typical dermatologist treatment uses 18 Joules per cm2, whereas the NIRA lasers provide 90 Joules per cm2 at power level 5 (more than 4 times the energy), or 64 Joules per cm2 at power level 3, over a month of daily usage.
NIRA’s patented non-fractional, non-ablative laser technology enables you to achieve the same clinical-grade results as professional fractional (or ablative) laser treatments, but at home, at a fraction of the price, and without any side effects.
By comparison, most facial lasers either at-home or in-office are called "fractional lasers" and/or “ablative lasers”. Fractional or ablative lasers work by destroying columns of tissue causing skin cells to die, which signals your body to produce more collagen to repair the damaged skin. This process causes redness to the skin, inflammation, pain, and downtime.
