How to Get Started with the NIRA iOS App

Pair Your NIRA Device

  1. Turn off your NIRA device
  2. Press and hold the power button for 7 seconds
  3. Wait for the NIRA lights to cycle
  4. Follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing

Tip: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone.


Firmware Updates

If prompted, tap Download to begin the firmware update. This process takes about 3–5 minutes. Do not close the app or turn off your device while updating.

Manual Update Option

  • Go to Account > My Devices
  • Tap Update Firmware if available
  • You’ll see “Your firmware is up to date” when complete

Customize Your NIRA Device

Power Level

Adjust your device’s energy setting to suit your skin’s sensitivity. Choose from:

  • Normal
  • Sensitive
  • Advanced
  • Max

Sound

Select from different sound profiles to personalize your session experience. Customize sound volume and LED brightness to ensure a comfortable, distraction-free environment during treatments.

Track Your Skincare Progress

Home Screen Overview

  • Monitor your 90-day treatment streak
  • Track daily usage and compliance
  • View your session summary

Auto-Sync: Your session data uploads automatically within 15 seconds after powering off the device.

Calendar View

Easily manage and track sessions by tapping dates on the calendar to view activity history.

Graph View

See your pulse usage trends in an easy-to-read bar graph across weeks and months.

Session View

Review detailed metrics for each session, including:

  • Date & time
  • Session duration
  • Number of pulses
  • Success rate

Clinical Study Compliance

If you’re part of a study, this section helps you:

  • Track days completed vs missed
  • View total compliance
  • Check daily pulse targets
  • Stay updated on study progress

Example: “80 Days Left in the Study” is shown prominently on the Clinical Study screen.

Capture and Compare Your Results

  • Capture: Use on-screen guides to align your eyes and take consistent treatment photos.
  • Compare: View side-by-side before & after images with slider controls to analyze skin improvements.
  • Gallery: All your images are saved by date, making it easy to review and share your NIRA journey.

Results Tab: Access the Capture, Compare, and Gallery tools from the Results tab.
